Another excellent weekend for the FBR who have competed in competitions in different parts of our country and even abroad.

On Saturday afternoon it was our Olympic teammate Rocío Ríos who achieved her first national medal in a middle-distance event, specifically in the Mile (1,609m).

Specialist in her professional time from 10,000m to Marathon (5th in the Atlanta '96 Olympics) now “converted” into a middle distance runner, she achieves her first national medal, bronze, at 55 years of age.

6:13 (3'51/Km) was his final time and he fought for silver even on the last lap of the track.

An achievement for our Asturian FBR that starts the 2024-25 season excellently.

Congratulations Rocío!!!

Ignacio Cardona achieved third place M50 in the Krakow international half marathon, achieving an outstanding time of 1h17:54 (3'51/Km) on a circuit that is not excessively fast, due to its continuous elevations on bridges, cobblestones, stretches of dirt and some cold. But the one from Xabia, who is fireproof and always offers his best version, shone again at great heights and commented that he enjoyed it a lot because all those external factors made it “entertaining.” We ALREADY know how versatile the great Nasio is.

In Daimús and over 8Km, the athlete from Tavernes de Valldigna Jose Enguix achieved a new victory in his Master E category. He covered the 8Km in just 29:50 (3'44”/Km) and continues to demonstrate the great form he is going through.

In the Hellín half marathon (which apparently had 300m of route left – Total 20.8Km-) the Cieza native Ismael Guirao achieved a new victory in Various Abilities by completing the test at a “controlled pace ” in 1h36:05 (4'37”).

And in Ondara, in a solidarity race against cancer, the Dianense Emi López achieved another new personal success to be the second overall classified, completing the 7.15Km of the test in 29:40 ( 4'09”/Km) and showing that he is still in very good shape.

How can I not always be proud of my athletes if they always offer their best version?

Thank you very much athletes for your trust. You make me very happy with your best version or even when you participate in each test “trained” on my advice.

Let's keep going!!
