Dénia Running Player for children
It is a physical activity focused MAINLY on the physical development of our children through play and fun, but also a way to acquire healthy habits and social values: Companionship, perseverance, hygiene, effort, discipline, teamwork,…
The activity is NOT focused on competition nor will it be encouraged for it, at least at these ages, it is totally recreational. But this does not mean that sometimes children who want to participate in a popular competition do so, since they are totally free to decide what they want to do at any time.
My main objective is to educate them so that they enjoy physical activity in itself and make them understand that competition, which is obviously part of life, focused on very good values, can be enjoyed a lot. That winning or not winning are two totally equal aspects, and that what is truly important is to try, make an effort, and that the help and encouragement among colleagues is their best fuel to enjoy what they do.
In “Jugant a correr Dénia” we are all one, a team.
I love the motto of the legendary four musketeers that I have always spread among my athletes: “One for all and all for one”
And the union of the group provides strength, camaraderie and solidarity.
As time goes by, our children will acquire motor patterns and develop basic physical abilities for their physical and psychological development: Endurance, Speed, Agility, Coordination, Flexibility, Strength,...
This is why the help of parents is also important to achieve this. The ideal is to be aligned, work as a team, coach and parents.
For your part, as parents, it will be very good to ask them questions at the end of each session so that they feel happy about what they do:
How have you been?
Have you enjoyed playing with your friends?
Have you made a good effort in the activities to do your best?
This will encourage them to socialize more and create unity in the group, to strengthen themselves physically and mentally, to believe in themselves and to strive to be better for themselves, without giving importance to comparing themselves with others.
Contrarily, if instead we ask them such as: Have you won a race today? We will be creating a certain pressure that is very difficult to manage at such an early age, because really if they do not achieve it (which is generally normal due to how complicated it is), they will think that they do not meet our expectations and will probably feel frustrated. This at the same time long term usually leads to abandonment of any physical activity).
“Jugant a correr Dénia” should be a POSITIVE activity that children attend very comfortably, without any pressure, so that they have a good time with their classmates and their sports friends.
Actually in Jugant arun Dénia they are learning to be athletes.
