Julia Vaquero wins the Vigo Urban Mile

Yesterday, Sunday morning, the Olympic ranger Julia Vaquero (Samil Veterans) achieved victory in the urban mile that was held in the city of Vigo.

6:18 (3'54"/Km) was the final time showing that he also defends himself in the middle distance with honors. The athletics legend is still more alive than ever.

Julia demonstrates in every stride and pedal stroke she takes every day (in the afternoon she did a 56Km cycling session at a pace of 27Km/h), that HEALTH SPORTS is a perfect thread to hold onto to give meaning to life. Nothing to do with alcohol, drugs and tobacco, which are true destroyers of life and in turn carry a very high economic cost for the public coffers.

From these lines and as Julia's coach since 2020, and knowing her complicated financial situation that she has been going through for a long time, I demand from public institutions "special" attention for her so that her day-to-day life lives up to that exemplary nature and that mirror in which to look at herself that she brings to Galician society and also to the country.

Taking photos with her on podiums, in public recognitions and patting her congratulations is not enough. Please support Julia as she deserves!! Take care of this Galician treasure.
